Once home to 50 people, Hameau Le Linas, is an ancient, secluded, mountain hamlet nestling in its own valley at the end of a winding mountain track in some of the most beautiful scenery in the Minervois. Serene and very private, it extends over 22 hectares (approx. 50 acres) of forest, streams, hills and valleys bounded by national forest, home to a wide variety of fauna and flora including wild boar, deer and badgers. Two small streams flow lazily through the centre of the hamlet, then on, to wind their way down the valley via a series of spectacular waterfalls and panoramas.
Now a naturist retreat, Le Linas retains much of its traditional style and charm but now has many modern features that have been installed discretely and sympathetically. With no light or noise pollution, a beautiful mountain and forest backdrop, ancient stone buildings, babbling brooks and resident buzzards, Le Linas has a rustic, relaxing, atmosphere and is ideal for those in search of peace and contentment. For the more adventurous, the huge areas of national forest provides invigorating and exciting walks where one can explore without ever having to meet a living soul.
